WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL ENGINEERING ACADEMY?

VEA is a series of single-semester courses geared toward 6th-12th grade students. Each course invites students to participate in a variety of engineering design challenges. Throughout the VEA courses, students will learn about additive manufacturing , atmospheric science, and mission design, among other engineering fundamentals. At the end of each course, students will be encouraged to communicate their findings at a science fair-style poster session at their local schools.

VEA is offered year-round. Each course is between 9 and 15 weeks in duration.

VEA is a free STEM outreach program coordinated by The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH).
